Star Cruise - Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) - Day 3

4 April 2014 (Fri)

Today we will finally be seeing land, though it will just be a short 5 hour trip to shore.

But first up, its brekkie time! Dim Sum for breakfast!

After brekkie, we headed up to the deck to take some photos of Ho Chi Minh as the cruise head towards the port of call. 

After a while of not seeing much changes to the scenery, we headed back to our cabin to get our belongings and gather to the assembly point to disembark. And by then, the cruise has already docked at the port, and it was really a port! lol all the container were in sight!

A welcoming party was also in line ready to greet us as we disembark :)

And together with them are the tour buses to bring the guests to the various destinations that we chose to go. For us, we chose the optional tour which provides transport to Ben Thanh Market, for which we will be given 3 hours to shop and walk around that area.

Our cruise from a far as our bus drives off towards Ben Thanh Market.

It was a 20 - 30 mins ride to the market, and we got to see the sights and sound of Ho Chi Minh as our bus head towards the Market.

Ben Thanh Market! And we spent about 3 hours here!

Parents bought clothes, shoes and coffee here.

And we had lunch in the market as well. Pho for lunch! *yeah*

After lunch, we still had some time to spend and we went walking around the vicinity. After that, it was time to meet up at the gathering point to head back to the cruise. And it was the right time to head back too cause the sky was getting dark and the wind was blowing really strongly!

We manage to do some last minute shopping just before we boarded the cruise as some locals have set up make shift stores at the corner of the port. :p

Shortly after 3pm, when everyone is back on board the cruise, the vessel left port.

Soon it was sunset and that means its time to eat dinner! :p

Back at the Chinese restaurant again!!

But dinner was just ok this time round.. the soup was just as good! and the next nicest dish was the roast pork :p asked for multiple portions.. hee..

And tonight's special event at night is a BBQ session on the top deck of the cruise!

hee.. more food! :p but we didn't really eat much cause we are already very full from our earlier dinner.

That's conclude our day for today! :D
